My husband and I went here for dinner the other night. The food was pretty good ... we ordered the appetizer sampler and some "Chernobyl" wings. The sampler featured house-made chips; some of them were nice and crispy, but some were soggy which made them a bit less appetizing. The wings were burn-your-tastebuds-senseless spicy (just how I like them), so I was pretty pleased with that. My draught beer came out completely flat (NOT happy about that). Service was fine, food was okay ... basically, a middle-of-the-road review for a middle-of-the-road restaurant.

I've been a huge fan of Wild Wings since my college days and whenever I'm in Charleston I make a point of stopping in. The food is always great, I love the wings and the burgers are great as well. Even though they are often crowded the service is fast and friendly.

I'm having mixed emotions about this place. I ordered the Chili Con Queso Nacho appetizer and it was banging. But when I got my wings they sucked donkey nutz! I don't know how they could get one thing soooo right and another soooooooooo wrong. SMH! I will however go back and try again in the future.

Had the pesto pizza which was impressive because its a wing place.

Gross. Husband and I frequent BW3s. He ordered parm garlic and Cajun wings here. He said the Cajun wings had ZERO flavor, just tasted like naked, fried wings. Not to mention the celery pieces he got probably came from the bottom of the stalk... since they were stark white - WHO serves that?! I ordered a shredded chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese. The mac was pretty good. The sandwich? Ugh. I've NEVER had chicken so dry before. The hickory flavor was good... but I couldn't finish the sandwich since it was so dry! It's also very loud. I had to ask my husband about 100 times what he said. I was so relieved when we got out the door. Service was okay. Not good and not bad. I wouldn't recommend the place or go again. We had to try it at least once... PS: do we really need SO MANY menu options? Geeze.

Little overcrowded. Music sucked. Food was OK. Service was good.

Went here while staying at a hotel nearby. It was 4:00 in the afternoon so they were not that busy. Service was really slow, ordered a beer and hamburger. I think I could have brewed my own, and went to a farm and bought a cow before I recieved my food.

Sometimes I go to Wild Wing Cafe when I don't feel like driving the distance to Buffalo Wild Wings. The service usually isn't that great, but I really like the food and have never had a complaint in that department. I definitely will go back, as long as I'm not REALLY hungry or in a hurry.

One of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a very long time. First, our server took 10 minutes to get to our table. When she finally came for our drink order we asked for another minute or two to figure out what we wanted. 25 minutes later she finally showed up and without any apology. She had a stand off-ish attitude the entire experience as if we were a bother and avoided our table. My husband and I aways tip 18-20% even with sub-par service but I've never seen anything like this before. We are not even needy customers. The wings were average at best and the bleu cheese was tasteless and watered down. We didn't even get the chance to ask for ranch to-go because she kept walking away so fast. I don't think we will be returning.

I had to wait way too long. I would expect more from wings in SC, but they're actually better back home in Cali.

Not much I can add to other reviews. The Turkey wrap I received was good. It could have used a spicy mayo. The french fries that came with it were lukewarm. My girlfriend had grilled chicken on a stick. She said it was very good. Good place to have a beer and decent food. A manager saw us taking pictures of our food, and he inquired about it. Of course we said we were Yelpers! He seemed a little bit nervous and asked what the verdict was. Good, we said. Managers, be aware, your customers share their experiences!

Good food and friendly service. Not the best I've ever had, but the price is right. They offer a military discount as well.

This wonderful restaurant's water had a strange, yet enjoyable aftertaste. The cooling was a little on the iceberg side, but fit the culture that the aftertaste established. I will return soon to see if this experience holds true.

Well if you haven't been in to Wild Wing recently there has been a lot of changes. Starting with the menu which is much smaller and looks like a vinyl record case. I think the lunch wing bar is no longer since I didn't see the tables but that might just be for the whole Fantasy Football parties or something. The food is decent but there are other places I would rather go.

Service is always really above and beyond every time I go here. The food is good, but it is also reasonably priced. Defiantly will go there again.

Service was ok but it was expectedly slow since it was Final Four night. I was kinda shocked to find out that North Charleston restaurants still let smokers smoke inside... totally changes the atmosphere and the way things taste! Yes, they have a whole bunch of fans inside to keep the air circulating, but it has been a while since I have been to a place that lets anyone smoke inside. I've taken the no smoking rules in Charlotte for granted. That aside, the food was okay... but nothing special. What can you expect from a chain restaurant.

If you love wings, and you do not love Wild Wing Café, then you sir-or madam need your head examined. They also have an extensive menu of starters, and sandwiches, a great bar, and many wonderful beers on tap. This is also a fun place to watch whatever game happens to be on the TV. I have personally spent many an afternoon watching football and hanging out with friends and family here!

Great food, decent service. Big seating area. This location has a pretty big dining area on the inside as well as one outside and a pretty big bar area. They have a separate area in the back for take-out orders where service can be hit or miss depending on how busy it is in the inside. My personal favorite is the Buffalo Chicken Salad with Atomic Meltdown sauce and Ranch dressing.

Try the salsa. Perfect amount of sweet, salty, AND spicy. Always get outstanding customer service here.

  • Tony T.

The wings here are not that great. There was no flavor to the meat. The seasoning on the outside was great. They also use those giant, steroid grown wings that look like a cat's arm. I also had this macaroni and hamburger soup. It was ok but the meat tastes like something out of a chef Boyardi can. I probably wouldn't recommend it. The bartender was really helpful though. She got the manager to take the wings off my bill when she realized did not enjoy them. So I would say they really do care about their customers. The beer was great. A good selection of draft and bottled beers. Well, that's about it.

Wings are delicious! Service is just a little inattentive, but not bad.

This is a great spot to stop for some wings, a couple quick beers, and some friendly conversation. I love how they have a ton of sauces and I usually shoot to try a new one each time. I think my favorites are red dragon and the jalapeno cheddar flavors. Happy hour prices are great and normal hours aren't too shabby either. If you're a sports fan I might try somewhere else for the game because the tvs are a little small around the bar.

I was expecting the wings to be really good since they named the place Wild Wing Cafe. The wings were ok. Not great, not bad.

previous to tonight I had only been to wild wings once. now I remember why I have not graced this establishment more often. the food is mediocre compared to other cuisine in this area and the service both times has been mediocre and terrible respectively. I do not home the wait staff. on the whole they seem untrained and ignorant of policy, a fault which lies with management. after waiting for forty five minutes we were told it would be another forty five for seating arrangements. then we were ushered outside to a smoking environment with faulty heaters. all of these things are forgivable individually, however when compounded wth the complete apathy of management it becomes a travesty on this fine industry. the customer should always be right and the manager should be a kindly uncle figure, righting wrongs and soothing his source if income:the consumer. that did not happen and I shall not be patronizing this establishment for the foreseeable future.

I've eaten here many times. Went tonight and it was very yummy. Had the 25 wings sampler and the wild fries. Gold rush, honey mustard, barbecue, lemon pepper, and garlic were the flavors we got! We had very good service.

The service is alright. I think the food could be better. I had the spinach dip and it wasn't that good. The chips was stale. I think the wings are alright. My friends like it a lot so I go there too.

Terrible service! Terrible food! Good band and large space but that's about it. Did I say terrible service?

Very good wings and great service. On most weekends they have some live cover bands that break up the monotony of the average bar scene.

The wings were warm but not hot! Their queso and chips is from a can and they just add tomato and japs!! I was looking for a good place to watch sports and eat fingers food and I would definitely not choose this place ! There are better choices around

During my Senior year, this was my go to spot for some good wings or food and eating with friends. I typically came after pickup hockey at Carolina Ice Palace. That was in 2013... I come back to SC and confident that I would have the same great experience that I used to have with my friends, I was disappointed. I talked this place up to my girlfriend all the time prior to moving back and the experience we had was terrible. In fact, I gave it another try about a month later and it was just as bad, if not worse. To me, what matters in a restaurant is its service, accuracy, and quality.. Those last two times just wasn't up to par on service and accuracy. My girlfriend recieved the wrong wings and we were pretty thirsty a majority of the time. It's a shame that we had a terrible experience that last night because it was their anniversary, however, two bad experiences in a row from a place I was so excited to bring my girlfriend to is kind of a turn off for the place. I might go back for one more chance. Hopefully it will be better than the last. I'll give it 3 stars based on my last two experiences. Even though the wings were cooked very well, we didn't receive the right ones. We were also sitting with empty cups. I know they can do better.

I know it's absurd calling an establishment at 12:42 AM to request food service, however you claim to be open until 2:00 AM. You should at least answer the phone instead of forwarding it to the "AFTER HOURS" line. Literally just wanted to know if the kitchen was still serving. Simple. Easy. Perhaps I am being unreasonable, but as someone in F&B, I don't stop answering our phone line simply because there's an hour and some few minutes until close. I know the business, I know it's annoying. But some of us don't get to enjoy eating dinner at normal times. I got off late and I wanted a decent bite to eat. Didn't realize that was too much to ask.

  • Sara H.

This place is a disgrace when it comes to service. They don't care about their customers and don't know how to treat people. The wings, fries, etc. are pretty standard. The prices are cheap, and the atmosphere reflects that. But you can't really expect much in terms of decor when you go out for bbq wings. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone considering you can get equally good or better food elsewhere. There's no need to put up with a disrespectful, inattentive staff.

Th four is mostly for our server and her patience. If you want greasy food... It's here. I must say the wing selection is def here too. It would appease every kind of taste bud. The menu is huge. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing.

Came for the Charleston Restaurant Week. Got the onion rings for an app and it was soooo greasy. Had a burger which was ok. Only could eat half. Egg was over cooked and a little greasy while the bacon was not rendered enough. Didn't care for their potato wedges. Hubby had wings and it looked almost dry. They have a great lunch deal during the week aside from their normal menu. Service was excellent. May want to dust their decor above the kitchen entrance doors. Dust collecting and near a fan.... Pretty gross to look at.

Out of the 3 or 4 WWC in the Charleston area, the River Ave. location is definitely at the bottom of the list. The food is about the same as the other locations, good not great. The Bufforala wrap is my go-to for lunch. Nice sized wrap with chopped up fried chicken tenders tossed in hot enough sauce to take notice. I do like their wings and the 25+ sauce options, but they charge around $9 for 8 wings, $12 for 10. I believe their wing buffet at lunch is now $12-13. Just a tad much for wings IMO. I've also had the misfortune of eating at this WWC on a weekend night, and it seems to turn into more a club than restuarant/bar.

I stopped going here for years because the food was going downhill. We took a chance a few months ago and came back. It still wasn't good but the GM Zack apologized and took care of our bill. We went back again and again there were problems. Zack, again apologized and asked that we not give up on them they were working hard to turn things around. We went again today and the food was fantastic! The boneless wings were juicy and not greasy. The Big fat fries were fresh, hot and also not greasy. Srirracha honey lime is my favorite flavor now! Thanks, Zack!

A quick visit for lunch; ordered the platter with 25 wings and 5 flavors. They were okay, not dry or too greasy. The service was good also. Nice job by Sean!

The North Charleston location usually has a good crowd. Food is decent and what you'd expect from a wing joint. The service is hit or miss. Management doesn't seem to really care about much. Menu : Good variety of choices. Wings, apps, salads, sammies. I love the hot shots, fried cheesey, sausage balls, but sometimes they are a little too spicy for other. Steeltown spuds are delicious. Cheesey, bacon, ranch on top your choice of hand cut fries or big thick potato wedges. I love the grilled chicken tenders and pretty much all the wing flavors. Rajun cajun, the new chili lime flavors, buffalo...can't go wrong. Ambiance: Normal bar, wing restaurant. Usually a lot going on. Bar is packed, volume is loud. Perfect fit for this kind of place. They have bands and show the UFC fights on the weekends. Great value for their food.

Huge group of scary, black people made us feel uncomfortable, and it took management over five minutes to kick them out, once I complained. I'll never be back!

Went in to Wild Wing the other day for lunch. One thing I really liked was the fact that for a relatively low price, I could get all you can eat wings. I wish they offered a few more flavors, but I understand they probably put out what will be eaten most. The food was fresh and the service was fast. My wife got a 4 Feathers plate and loved it as well. I will definitely be back.

All I talked about when I booked my return visit to South Carolina was Wild Wing Cafe. I went there many times during my summers with my aunt and the food was just as good as I remembered. I ordered my favorite Ginger wings and Bubba's BBQ. The cold spinach dip with chips was so good I wish I had the recipe. There are lots of flavor choices and the option to do the buffet of all you can eat wings and tater tots. Since it's a chain it's not something that I am proud to be obsessed with but I can't help it!

Above and beyond service delivered for a to go order for a local physicians office! When a last minute cancellation from another vendor forced me to frantically search for a to-go lunch order for a well established physician in town, Wild Wings made it happen!!!! Zach managed the last minute request with such ease and assured me he could make it all happen. He went above and beyond by delivering the food directly to the office himself. Thank you Wild Wings and Zach for making a stressful last minute cancellation seem as if nothing had happened.

Not the best wing experience. Great sounding flavors but lacking taste. Also the drinks were watered down. We will not be back. There was a live band that was great and made up for the lack of tasty food & drinks.

My go to for lunch when I just can't decide. Wings are always good but the fajita wrap, burgers, and feathers are good choices as well. Staff is always accommodating and they have a daily lunch buffet of wings and soups as well for $10

This location only has 3 stars average for a reason. First of all, the girl on the phone when I placed my order sounded like she was talking with her mouth full. She told me 15-20 minutes, which was an accurate timeline. When I got there the To Go girl, white girl, was rude, took my money and disappeared while I waited. Another girl came after 2 or 3 minutes, a VERY polite African American girl who struck up conversation and told me all about her cruise (which by the way I'm still jealous of!). From behind the counter an interesting plot twist appeared, a black male drinking a beer, who quickly walked back to where he came from and resumed his conversation. I got my food in a timely manner, and left. When I got home, however, 1 of the 4 types of wings I ordered was burnt all to hell. Also I got blue cheese instead of the ranch I asked for. Kitchen staff/Togo people need to get to together (aside from the one really polite girl!)

I like their wings. Solid selection and good spicy ones. Golden honey mustard is awesome. Usually has good service and specials on booze Just hate how they nickel and dime. Quarter for sauce and dollar for celery, come on

Haven't been here in awhile as last time my wings were crappy and noise level tipped the seismic scale over. Decided to not go with wings this time and ordered grilled chicken on a stick with honey mustard marinade...4 pieces and potato salad. Potato salad was one of the best I've had in awhile. The chicken started out good, a bit overcooked ..then ended up being a spicy hot taste the more I got into it...couldn't figure out what the taste was as honey mustard is usually sweet not hot. I just kept drinking more rum & coke. No complaints on service...and though we were seated by the bar, it was quiet... it was early afternoon.

  • Kelsey V.

We were seated quickly at lunchtime and our server took our orders without writing them down- something that I usually find to lead to mistakes, but I was pleasantly surprised when everything came out just as requested. I had the chicken feathers with Bubba's BBQ sauce and fries. It was very tasty and left me satisfied. My husband got boneless chicken wings in two different sauce flavors: mild and Bubba's BBQ. He enjoyed his meal. My only complaint is that our server disappeared for quite a while after he took our dishes away. One of the people we were out with had to flag him down and request our checks. Overall, a nice experience!

Best bartenders in town. Staff is great. Food and management is even great! Wings are always fresh. Good burger joint. Awesome band nights.

  • Shai E.

My food was bad all way round. Chicken salad tasted like their special sauce was in it. Could have sworn fish sauce taste! Potato salad was watery. Hub's THRIVES on the hottest sauce you can find! *i know a place! I thought we were going to the ER that night!* no heat at all. Waiter was polite and on his toes! He brought me a new and different order. He didn't make me feel one ounce foolish for sending it back. Only reason I may try them, again. If you're looking for quiet, boy, are you in the wrong place!
